Indian Recipes using Amchur Powder:Amchur Fish Kebabs (Machli kebab)
Recipe Ingredients to cook Amchur Fish Kebabs :
• White fish 2lb
• Amchur Powder -1 tsp(mango powder)
• Chick Peas flour-1 tsp
• Chili Powder -1/2 tsp
• Cloves , ground-1/2 tsp
• Coriander Seeds , ground-3 tsp
• Cumin , ground-1 tsp
• Garlic cloves- 2 crushed
• Ginger , ground-1 tsp
• Black Pepper Whole , -1 tsp ground
• Salt as per taste
• Yogurt-1 cup
• Ghee -2 tablespoon
Cooking Method:
1. Wash and skin fish. Cut into small pieces.
2. Mix together all the marinade ingredients.
3. Gently immerse fish pieces in the marinade so that each piece is completely covered. Leave for up to one hour.
4. Melt the ghee. Skewer fish pieces and coat with melted ghee.
5. Grill under medium heat until a nice brown, basting constantly with juices and marinade remnants.
6. Serve with plain rice and hot sambals.
